It's fair to say that between the two of us we have bought quite a few new things in the last couple of weeks. We thought we'd give you a quick review of our first impressions on the products...
The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder:
The packaging of this bronzer is really what made this product for us and despite having a bit of an awkward situation in the shop where the lady applied it on us like it was going out of fashion, we really have enjoyed using it to take away from our winter paleness!
The Body Shop Vitamin E Lip Care:
This was a repurchase that is amazing for the winter months as you can feel your lips moisturised for hours after (plus it has Vitamin E and SPF 15 in it so you know it's good!).
L'Oreal True Match Foundation:
So many beauty bloggers have said good things about this foundation and so when L'Oreal went on a 2 for £12 offer we thought it was the perfect time to pick it up. So far we have enjoyed using it for a light to medium coverage option which leaves the face with a natural skin-like finish.
L'Oreal True Match Powder:
We hadn't heard much about this powder but picked it up on a deal with the True Match Foundation and it is a very finely milled powder that sets your foundation without taking away from the finish of the foundation.
If you want to find out more about our thoughts, head over to our L'Oreal True Match post here.
Revlon Colourstay Concealer:
We have been on a hunt for the perfect concealer at a reasonable price and so we thought this one would be worth a try. So far we have found that it isn't too overpowering - higher coverage would have been better but then again it makes it easy to blend unnoticeably and covers any red marks. It's not great for under the eyes as the formula is fairly drying so we are sticking to using it for blemishes.
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation:
The finish is completely different to the L'Oreal True Match foundation - this has higher coverage with a more dewey look (not too shiny) but again it has a good colour range. It tends to slip during the day so we'd recommend wearing a powder over the top.
Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo:
This is the worst dry shampoo we have ever used, please never buy this! We picked it up on a quick dash through Tesco as it was only £1.50 and now we know exactly why it holds such a small price tag - a sticky, white hairspray-esque formula.
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo [+]:
We read a lot of reviews saying this is a miracle product so thought we'd pick it up to see if it works for us. First thoughts are that it makes the skin extremely soft, smooth to touch and feels moisturising. It has reduced the amount of blemishes quite significantly but it's a waiting game to see if it works completely so we will report back in a few months with a full blog post.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water:
Ever since Bioderma became one of the most popular products amongst beauty bloggers, micellar water has been a skincare item at the top of our wish list. Garnier's version is considerably cheaper but the price tag of £5 seemed quite a lot for what looks like water. However on use it is a great does-it-all product for removing both face and eye makeup whilst cleansing your face.
Garnier Moisture Matte and Match Moisturiser:
On one of our many recent trips to Boots these moisturisers were on a 2 for £4 offer so we picked up the matte formula for more oily days and the match formula for dry skin days.
Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil-Free Moisturiser:
Another repurchase which we go back to time and time again, we highly recommend this for anyone with a combination/oily complexion. We also have the facial wash and scrub in the same pink grapefruit range!
