PREPARING YOUR LIPS FOR LIPSTICK

Putting lipstick on can sometimes make your lips look dry and chapped (especially with matte formulas), but here are a few things we do before to try and avoid the unattractive flaky look...

The Lush Mint Julips is a mint chocolate flavoured lip scrub- to use it you rub it again your lips and then lick off the excess! This tasty scrub genuinely buffs your lips to softness and helps lip products to easily glide on- it even prevents bold lip colours from bleeding. If you're not a fan of peppermint, this exfoliator also comes in the flavours 'bubblegum' and 'popcorn', for the same price of £5.50.

EOS Lip Balm's come in a variety of colours and flavours- the one shown above is in sweet mint. The unique packaging is a cute egg shape and the rounded balm application makes it super quick and handy to apply as it covers the whole mouth in one swipe. The chunkier case makes it easier to find in your handbag too!

An important part of your skincare routine should be to apply lip balm daily. Putting it on just before you go to bed is best, as you're not talking or eating so the product can sink in and really moisturise the lips. Continuing our minty theme, we love to use the Carmex Mint Moisturising Lip Balm as it's clear thick formula is really hydrating.
